Steps
Translated from the Korean original. Amounts are as in the original recipe.
- Tear the shredded dried pollack into small pieces by hand and rinse in cold water. Slice the onion, shiitake mushrooms and apple into strips, and devein the shrimp by inserting a skewer between two or three joints on the back, then rinse.
- Put the dried pollack, shrimp, shiitake mushrooms and onion in cold water and boil for about 20 minutes, then add the apple to remove the bitter taste of the pollack.
- Serve in a bowl.
💡 TipThis mild dried pollack soup is seasoned with the natural saltiness of the dried pollack and shrimp instead of salt and soy sauce. Adding mussels or clams gives a refreshing, clear broth.
