↔ No napa cabbage kimchi? Store-bought kimchi works well. For cooking, older and more sour kimchi tastes better. Sauerkraut with a little gochugaru is a last resort.

Steps

Translated from the Korean original. Amounts are as in the original recipe.

  1. Cut the tofu into 5 cm x 1.5 cm x 1 cm pieces.
  2. Pan-fry the cut tofu without oil until golden brown.
  3. Cut the wild chives into about 2 cm pieces.
  4. Squeeze the napa cabbage kimchi moderately and cut into thin strips about 2 cm long.
  5. Cut the red bell pepper into thin strips about 2 cm long and toss gently with steps 3 and 4 along with the green onion, garlic, sugar, sesame oil, sesame seeds, gochugaru, and salt.
  6. Serve the kimchi and wild chive mixture from step 5 on top of the tofu.
💡 TipUse the stem part of the napa cabbage kimchi, and since it is already seasoned, do not add salt to the tofu. You can also julienne pickled radish and toss it in.
