Steps

Translated from the Korean original. Amounts are as in the original recipe.

  1. Thaw the ground beef and pork and remove the blood.
  2. Blanch the tofu in boiling water, then mash it.
  3. Season the beef, pork, chopped onion, chopped scallion, and mashed tofu (15 g) with soy sauce and sugar, then knead many times.
  4. Shape the meat, now sticky, into rounds and cook in a pan.
  5. Mix the mashed tofu (15 g) and sunflower seeds into the ssamjang.
  6. Serve the tteok-galbi with the seasoned paste and vegetable ssam.
💡 TipMixing tofu and sunflower seeds into the ssamjang lowers the salt.
