Steps

Translated from the Korean original. Amounts are as in the original recipe.

  1. Put the soup anchovies and dried kelp in 1 and a half cups of water to make about 1 cup of anchovy-kelp broth, and remove the kelp beforehand and julienne it.
  2. Soak the dried acorn jelly in water and cut into 5 cm lengths.
  3. Julienne the shiitake mushroom into 5 cm lengths and tear the oyster mushrooms into thin 5 cm strips.
  4. Wash the green onion and slice on the diagonal.
  5. Put the acorn jelly, shiitake mushroom, and oyster mushrooms in 1 cup of anchovy-kelp broth and bring to a quick boil.
  6. Add the perilla seed powder, green onion, minced garlic, and kelp to the mixture from step 5 and season with soup soy sauce and salt.
💡 TipYou can use regular acorn jelly, but it is less chewy than the dried acorn jelly.
