Steps
Translated from the Korean original. Amounts are as in the original recipe.
- Finely chop the onion and perilla leaves, and wash the cocktail shrimp clean and finely chop them.
- Mix the chopped onion, perilla leaves, and shrimp with the seasonings and knead to make the shrimp mixture.
- Briefly dip the rice paper in hot water (4 cups), then remove it and place it on a cutting board brushed with cooking oil.
- Put the shrimp mixture in a zip-top bag, snip off the corner with scissors, pipe the mixture onto the rice paper, and roll it up to make a shrimp sausage.
- Heat a pan over medium heat with cooking oil, add the shrimp sausages, and cook until golden and the outside turns white.
- Put on a plate and brush the garlic sauce on top to finish.
💡 Tip- Instead of flour, we used potato starch, which is low in sodium and rich in potassium. - Spices and lemon juice instead of salt bring out the flavor. - A small amount of oligosaccharide syrup instead of sugar or honey adds sweetness while lowering calories.
