Steps

Translated from the Korean original. Amounts are as in the original recipe.

  1. Blanch the gondre in hot water, rinse thoroughly, and slice finely.
  2. Squeeze the moisture out of the tofu.
  3. Make the seasoning sauce with the sauce ingredients and the squeezed tofu.
  4. Blanch the oyster mushrooms in hot water, remove the moisture, and tear into thin strips.
  5. Heat sesame oil in a pot, stir-fry the gondre, then add the rice and cook it.
  6. During the steaming stage, place the oyster mushrooms on top to finish the rice.
💡 TipTofu is used to reduce the amount of doenjang in the sauce and add nuttiness, and mushrooms enhance the texture and flavor with their chewiness.
