Steps

Translated from the Korean original. Amounts are as in the original recipe.

  1. Chop the onion, green onion, carrot, and garlic into small pieces.
  2. Heat oil in a pan, and when it is hot, quickly stir-fry the prepared vegetables (1) and cool.
  3. Put the quail eggs in cold water with salt, boil for about 5 minutes, drain, rinse in cold water, and peel.
  4. Mix the stir-fried vegetables and salt evenly into the prepared rice, then wrap it around the quail eggs.
  5. Roll the rice-wrapped quail eggs in a mixture of flour and starch, then roll in beaten egg and coat in breadcrumbs.
  6. When the frying oil reaches about 170 C, add the quail egg balls and deep-fry until evenly colored. Serve with chili sauce to finish.
💡 TipThe assorted vegetables and quail eggs come together so it tastes good without any separate salt.
