Steps

Translated from the Korean original. Amounts are as in the original recipe.

  1. Remove the blood from the beef with paper towels.
  2. Mix the minced thin green onion, minced garlic, low-sodium soy sauce, gochugaru, sesame seeds (18 g), and water (4 ml) to make the seasoning sauce.
  3. Mix the frying flour and water (15 ml) to make the batter.
  4. Season the prepared beef with black pepper, chop it into bite-size pieces, place it on the seaweed, and roll it up to make the gimmari.
  5. Coat the gimmari in the batter, add cooking oil to a hot pan, and cook the gimmari on both sides.
  6. Put on a plate and top with the seasoning sauce and sesame seeds to finish.
💡 Tip- Aromatic ingredients such as gochugaru, sesame seeds, thin green onion, and garlic boost the flavor and reduce the sodium and sugars used. <br>- Seaweed, with its nutty, deep flavor, makes up for the mild taste.
