Steps
Translated from the Korean original. Amounts are as in the original recipe.
- Soak the rice, mince the garlic small, and chop the onion, king oyster mushrooms, and bell pepper into large pieces.
- Slice the beef wide and thin and season with salt and pepper.
- Melt butter in a pot, stir-fry the garlic and onion first, then add the king oyster mushrooms and bell pepper.
- Add the soaked rice and turmeric to (3), stir-fry, then lower the heat and cook until the rice is done.
- When the rice is done, place it on the seasoned beef and roll it up.
- Mix the white miso evenly with the heavy cream, pour the broth into a pot, add the cream-mixed white miso and bring to a boil, then add the rolled beef and gently simmer to finish.
💡 TipMixing heavy cream into the miso boosts the flavor and lowers the sodium.
