Steps
Translated from the Korean original. Amounts are as in the original recipe.
- Mix the beef and pork and marinate with pepper, plum syrup, and mirin.
- Chop the onion, carrot, king oyster mushrooms, and green onion into small pieces and mince the garlic finely.
- Mix the green onion, garlic, onion, carrot, and king oyster mushrooms evenly into the marinated meat (1).
- Cut the rice cakes into small pieces and soak briefly in hot water.
- Mix the soaked rice cakes into the mixed meat (3).
- Pinch off small pieces of the meat mixture (5) and shape into round balls, then cook them in an oiled pan, rolling them around. Boil the soy sauce and oligosaccharide syrup in a pot, add the cooked meatballs and sesame oil, gently simmer, and top with toasted sesame seeds to finish.
💡 TipThe braised meatballs made with meat and rice cakes have a chewy texture, and the generous vegetables lowered the sodium.
