Steps

Translated from the Korean original. Amounts are as in the original recipe.

  1. Season the gondre with perilla oil and soy sauce, cook it with the rice, glutinous rice, and black rice, then season the rice with sesame oil and salt.
  2. Bring the vinegar and twice as much water to a boil, then add the apple cut into bite-size pieces and simmer.
  3. Boil and mash the potato, mix in the chopped onion, walnuts, and flour, coat the outside with breadcrumbs, and pan-fry.
  4. Cut the bell pepper into fine strips.
  5. Blend the mayonnaise, perilla leaves, banana, and doenjang in a blender to make the sauce, and add chopped pickle.
  6. Lay down parchment paper and build the burger by stacking, in this order, seaweed, lettuce, patty, bell pepper, lettuce, and rice, drizzling sauce between the layers.
💡 TipThe banana in the sauce replaces sugar, and the doenjang adds depth of flavor for a delicious result.
