Steps

Translated from the Korean original. Amounts are as in the original recipe.

  1. Grate the bellflower root, apple, pear, and lotus root and simmer gently to make a puree.
  2. Finely chop all the vegetables, including the lotus root, tomato, onion, button mushrooms, carrot, and green bell pepper.
  3. Add the puree, egg, pepper, ginger, and breadcrumbs to the meat, knead until sticky, shape into flat patties, and bake in the oven.
  4. To make the sauce, stir-fry the flour and butter to make a roux.
  5. Add the vegetables chopped in step 2 to step 4 and boil, then season with salt and sprinkle with lemon juice.
  6. Decorate the baked homemade hamburg steaks with sprouts, pineapple, and cherry tomatoes, in that order, and serve with the sauce.
💡 TipThe puree is made with potassium-rich lotus root, tomato, pear, and pineapple.
