Steps
Translated from the Korean original. Amounts are as in the original recipe.
- Finely grind the black sesame seeds, mix with the flour and milk to make a dough, put it in a plastic bag, and let it rest.
- Boil the chicken breast, drain, lightly sprinkle with pepper, and chop into small pieces.
- Stir-fry the chopped chicken breast with the garlic in a pan.
- Grate the Chinese yam and banana, and chop the cashews and pine nuts into small pieces. Mix the yam, banana, cashews, pine nuts, and mustard in a pot, add the milk, and boil briefly to make the pyeonsu broth.
- Chop the chives, onion, and green onion into small pieces and mix them into the stir-fried chicken breast (3) to make the pyeonsu filling.
- Roll the rested dough (1) thin and cut it into squares, fill them with the filling, steam in a steamer for about 5 minutes, put on a plate, and pour the pyeonsu broth over the top to finish.
💡 TipNuts give a mild flavor, so it tastes good with little salt, which lets you reduce sodium.
