Steps

Translated from the Korean original. Amounts are as in the original recipe.

  1. Pull the tentacles off the whole squid, remove the innards, and wash it whole and clean.
  2. Chop the onion, carrot, chives, and ginger into small pieces, and chop the nuts.
  3. Squeeze the water out of the tofu and mash it with a spoon.
  4. Mix the finely chopped squid tentacles, the chopped vegetables and nuts (2), finely chopped green onion and garlic, and the salt and starch evenly with the tofu (3) to make the sundae filling.
  5. Fill the prepared squid with the filling.
  6. Brush the squid sundae with a mixture of lemon juice, sake, and ginger juice, then steam it in a steamer with rising steam for about 10 minutes to finish.
💡 TipSquid sundae with assorted vegetables is delicious without dipping it in a separate sauce.
