Steps

Translated from the Korean original. Amounts are as in the original recipe.

  1. Slice the white fish thinly into fillets, lightly season with salt and white pepper, and remove the moisture from the fish.
  2. Julienne the bamboo shoots into 5cm lengths, blanch in boiling water, and toss with salt and sesame oil; julienne the green and red bell peppers to the same length and stir-fry in a pan, seasoning with salt.
  3. Soak the dried shiitake mushrooms, slice thinly and julienne, toss with salt and sesame oil and stir-fry; julienne the sliced cheese to the same length.
  4. Overlap 2 slices of the fish from step 1, sprinkle with starch, place the prepared filling on top, roll up, coat the outside with starch, and steam in a steamer for 8 minutes.
  5. Put the pine nuts, water, sugar, salt, lemon juice, and soy sauce in a blender and blend until milky to make the sauce.
  6. Serve the finished steamed rolls with the sauce.
💡 TipWhen rolling the fish, roll it with the skin side inside so it looks nice and does not come undone.
